The Global Urban Futures Project is glad to announce the Urban Economics Seminar series for the Fall 2015 semester

We work for a better understanding of the critical role of cities in solving global problems such as inequality, economic growth, and climate change. Following this purpose, the Global Urban Futures Project launches this Fall 2015, the Urban Economics Seminar at The New School. This seminar will promote academic exchange enhancing Urban Economics as a significant area of study and highlighting its contribution to urban policy. We are interested in an open discussion that can benefit cities and their inhabitants. This is why, we believe it is important to learn about the consequences of the competitiveness of cities and their economic performance, on indicators such as income inequality, poverty, climate change, employment, and economic growth.
